What Are You Excited About Today?

HelterSkelter - Easy to slide down, Tough to climb back up
HI There,
Its been a while!

Just wondering how 2014 is treating you?

For me it's already been  year of changes.

I finished up my latest Temp job, the first week in January, and, after a short break, I am happy to say that I am embarking on a new journey.  I have secured a part-time job at a "People-Building" company and I'm really excited to be working with a great bunch of new people and working in line with the vision I am creating for myself.  Not only that, but the part-time nature of the job allows me the security of a regular income together with the flexibility to build and pursue my own dreams.

Now, what about you?  What are you excited about today? And if you are not already excited, what could you choose to be excited about?

Now -I hear you saying "Its alright for you.  Your life seems to be going great".  Believe me,although I am very excited about the new direction my life is taking me in, there are still a lot of challenges in my life right now.  I could choose to focus on any one of them.  And I could choose to focus on any one of them with fear or excitement.
Topsy Turvy - How do you handle it when your world turns upside down?
When your partner is retrenched or "downgraded", your child is evicted, and your roommate is severely depressed, its so easy to focus on the downside.  But focussing on the downside just draws you into a negative spiral, a tailspin that's hard to recover from.  So why not try to focus on the positive?  It may be hard in the moment, but ultimately, it's easier to look down on things from a positive perspective than to claw your way back up from rock bottom.

On top of the world -  Its an exciting ride
So, if you are having a tough time today, can I invite you to find ONE thing to be excited about and focus your attention on?  So, let me ask again:

What are you EXCITED about today?

Hope you have a great day!  We'll chat again soon!

Love, Karen
